Steamed Tofu with Ginger and Miso
A tasty light dish packed with flavour, but easy and light on the digestion.
- 1 Block Organic Silken Tofu
- 5 thumb lengths of Ginger, chopped, grated or pureed.
- 3 T Miso Paste
- 1⁄2 T sesame oil
- 1 T olive oil
- 1⁄2 T Soy Sauce
- 2 Organic Spring Onions (chopped)
Place the tofu between the bottom of two plates with a weight on top to press the water out of it for 20 min. Wrap the tofu in paper towel to get rid of any excess water. Cut tofu into square chunks. Mix the pureed ginger, miso paste, sesame oil, soy sauce and olive oil into a paste and spread thickly over the tofu pieces. Steam over boiling water for about 15 min. Add chopped spring onions and serve.
